Time Thieft.
Every time we give way to arguments over questionable theories regarding things Godly, we give the enemy our most precious commodity, time. We are convinced that we need to defend God and the Christian way, so we engage with what we perceive as a lie. The enemy wins every time God’s people play that game. What we should be doing is promoting the Glory of Jesus among men. Yet they suck us into their lies. It’s not that we believe what they are saying. It’s that, in the end, they steal away the Glorious words of truth. They steal our time, something we have precious little of.
Take a moment and consider how much time you’ve allowed your speech to become filled with the words of a lie. Then consider how much of your time is spent promoting the Glory of Christ. I think we would be amazed at the litteral numbers.
“But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.” (Matt. 12:36)
By His Grace.
