The Dryness of Faith
Of all the things we can experience in Christ Jesus, the feeling of abandonment is the worst. To have set our feet in His presence and felt the power of His love and one day feel that we are less than the masses who deny His existance is a horrible feeling. What shall we say about this?
A simple question comes to mind: Where did He find you when you first noticed His presence?
Beyond that question comes the answer to the Dryness of Faith. Were you beautiful when He touched you? Are you less beautiful now? Is Jesus less now than when He first kissed you with peace?
And one scripture rings loud and clear: “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.” Matthew 12:20
Ok. You’re having problems with Jesus. He’s trying to lead you into something better. You will think you’re done for. You will likely begin to think you’ve walked away. What we think and what we do about what we think are two different things. Remember His promise and hold tight to that thread of hope you have. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Look to the Lord of your heart and sigh upward.
By His Grace.
