Planting Horseshoes Will Not Grow Food.
I see the Lord working and walking in a garden of mist. The fog of my eyes won’t allow me to see clearly, but I know He is busy. He bends and gestures. He picks up and holds. His Great frame is working, on Glories untold. How shall I follow if I let Him move too far away? I’ll call out His name and follow the sound of His voice. What I encounter through this swirling fog is my great unknown. But I saw Him go this way. I will seek out His form. “Lord! Please let me catch up with you. I don’t know what to do”.
“Rabbi. Where are you staying?” “Come and you will see”. We cannot serve anything but Christ Jesus and expect to harvest a good crop. The land is His. The water belongs to Him. The Sun shines at His orders. The seed is not ours. And the very hands we use to plant this seed were not created by us. How then shall we have success for eternity if we do not seek to plant that seed in the very place He directs? And what if we have a pocket of various seeds and simply chose any kind we wish to plant? Shall rice grow where corn was intended? Can we plant an oak and expect an evergreen?
As has been said by Him once and a hundred times. “Without me you can do nothing”.
By His Grace.
